JACKSONVILLE —
Earl Robert Van Roosenbeek, age 89 of Jacksonville, passed away on Nov. 29, 2012, at the home of his daughter in Rowlett.
He was born Jan. 23, 1923, in Cudahy, Wis., to Harry Jacob and Eleanor (Funk) Van Roosenbeek.
Earl was a faithful member of St. Johns United Church of Christ Evangelical and Reformed in Houston, where he worked until his retirement as a physicist for MD Anderson Hospital.
Earl is survived by daughters: Dawn Robertson and husband Doug of Mountain View, Ark., Lynn Whittaker of Anchorage, Alaska, Judy Van Roosenbeek of Fort Worth, and Jan Casebere and husband Tom of Rowlett; grandchildren: Amy, Kara, Micah, Jason, Scott, Christina, Cathy, Connie and Lara; great-grandchildren: Austin, Kait, Ty, Matthew, Aaron, Sarah, Micah, Jacob, Ian, Holden, Ian and Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy on May 3, 2006, son Bob Vann, brother Jimmy and sister Dolly.
A graveside service under the direction of Rest Haven Funeral Home will be held 11 a.m. Thurs., Dec. 6, , at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating.
