RUSK — Funeral services for Troy B King, age 75, of Rusk are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 20, 2012 in Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Slocomb officiating.  Interment will be in Salem Cemetery under the direction of Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Rusk.

Mr. King died February 16, 2012 in a Rusk Nursing Home.  He was born January 1, 1937 in Bullard, TX to the late JB and Lydia Tate King.  Mr. King was a lifelong resident of Rusk and a member of Rocky Springs Missionary Baptist Church.  He served in the National Guard and Army Reserves and worked as an office furniture installer.

Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Audie King and Travis King, three sisters, Mary Ford, Lotti Hudson, Flora Mae Ferrell, daughter-in-law, Yvette King.  Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Frances King of Rusk, three sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Jackie King of Deer Park, TX, Caroll King of Rusk, Troy Allen King of Rusk, daughter, Melinda McNamara of Palestine, TX, sister, Ruby Waggoner of Pasadena, TX, two grandsons, Kenny and Miranda King of Deer Park, Skyler King of Rusk, four granddaughters, Taresa Murphy of Deer Park, April and Brandon Brewster of Elkhart, TX, Meagan and Rusty Herrara of Pasadena, Cheyenne King of Rusk, five great grandsons, Landon, Tyler, Konnor, Jaxon and Aaron, special nephew, Alfred Hood of Pasadena, numerous other nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include Kenneth King, Caroll King, Troy Allen King, Timmy Cary, Audie Key, Kenny King and Alfred Hood.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the funeral home.
