JACKSONVILLE —
Edna Fay Watkins was born in Canton and lived in Canton most of her life with the last 10 years in Jacksonville.
She is survived by a son, Melvin Lynn Rodgers and wife, Rhonda of Canton and her daughter, Dianna Warren Morgan and husband, Larry of Jacksonville. Other survivors include sister, Betty Weaver, of Van, grandchildren Gina Sharpe, Canton, Tabitha and Michael Gibson, Shreveport, Wendy and Bryan Hunter, Ft. Worth, Candace and Marty Mooring, Emory, Leslie and Danny Duecker, Bullard, Cody Couch, Tyler, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husbands John Hardy Watkins, James Melvin Rodgers, James H. Couch, mother, Mattie King, father, Oliver King, son, James Maxie (Mickey) Couch, brother, A.L. King, sisters Myrtie Weatherford and Leota Maddux and grandson, Scott Couch.
Fay retired from Curtis Mathis TV in Athens after 30 years of employment.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Canton and attended Tyler Street Baptist Church in Jacksonville.
Fay loved her family, her God and her church family. She served her church family at Oak Grove Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed gardening and always had beautiful flowers in her yard.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association.
