JACKSONVILLE —
Services for Charles A. "Cotton" Terry, age 93 of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, June 13 at Friendship Baptist Church at Corine with the Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Phillip Warren officiating.
Burial will follow at Corine Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Cotton Terry passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 in Jacksonville. He was born April 27, 1919 in Jacksonville, Texas to F. M. and Ida Terry.
He was a member and deacon of Friendship Baptist Church. He was retired from Jacksonville Packing Company and was former owner of Terry's Kwik Check Grocery on Kickapoo Street for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marie Martin Terry, one son Sandy Terry and wife Judy of Jacksonville, one daughter Dusty Terry Grulke of Pearland, Texas, grandsons Scott Terry and wife MaryAnn, Todd Terry and wife Julie, and great grandchildren Janzen, Nic, Toby, Zac, and Georgia Terry. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends
He is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, and son in law Pete Grulke.
Pallbearers will be Ike Reeves, Dirk Gray, Sammy Jackson, Mike Terry, Norman Terry, and James Arthur Terry.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Marable, Bill Willis, Larry Pool, Wayne Pool, Tracy Terry, and Randy Terry.
Visitation will be at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
