JACKSONVILLE —
Funeral services for Donald G. Carter “Donnie”, 65, of Tyler and formerly of Alto will be Thurs., Jan, 10, at 2 p.m. at the O.T. Allen and Son funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Davis officiating.
Mr. Carter died Sunday in Tyler. He was born Jan. 18, 1947 in Arcola, Ill. to Lucian and Amanda Drake Carter.
He lived the past nineyears in Tyler and was a resident in Alto for 35 years. He was a member of Grace Chapel Church in Tyler. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Carter of Tyler, sons and daughters-in-law Steven and Amanda Thornton of Alto; Clayton and Kristin Payne of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law Tina and Tony Goodman of Jacksonville; sisters Mary Jo and Jackie; Grandchildren: Bransen, Connor, Jackson, Braylee, Payton, Christian and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Windell Pierson, Alan Flippo, Larry Hinton, Mike Trawick, Robbie Goodman, Thomas Goodman
Honorary Pallbearers: Charlie Barron, Ray Caldwell
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home in Alto.
