JACKSONVILLE —
Services for Marie Martin Terry, age 89, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 10a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13 at Friendship Baptist Church at Corine with the Rev. Larry Smith and Rev. Phillip Warren officiating.
Burial will follow at Corine Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Marie passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 in Jacksonville. She was born June 13, 1923 in Mt. Selman, Texas to B. L. and Oddie Martin.
She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was co-owner of Terry’s Kwik Check Grocery on Kickapoo Street in Jacksonville for many years, and later worked at Lang’s Jewelry.
She is survived by one son Sandy Terry and wife Judy of Jacksonville, one daughter Dusty Terry Grulke of Pearland, Texas, grandsons Scott Terry and wife MaryAnn, Todd Terry and wife Julie, and great grandchildren Janzen, Nicholas, Toby, Zachary, and Georgia Katherine Terry. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Edith Pool and Josey Balkcom, and son in law Pete Grulke.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Terry, Mike Terry, Ike Reeves, Sammy Jackson, Trey Reeves, and Ty Reeves.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Pool, Wayne Pool, Travis Jackson, Lee Pool, Gary Pool, and Randy Terry.
Visitation will be at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 5:30—7:00 p.m.
