JACKSONVILLE — Mary Carpenter, a 35-year-old Jacksonville woman, was arrested Saturday on a shoplifting charge, said Jacksonville Police Department Detective Sgt. Daniel Franklin.

He said she was arrested and charged with public intoxication and shoplifting.
