Bullard will hold its 2009 Christmas parade at 6 p.m. Monday.
The Bullard Chamber of Commerce said floats will be decorated using a Christmas or holiday theme. Appropriate lighting is expected since it is a night parade.
Check-in for the parade will be at 5:30 p.m. in front of the new elementary school. Entries will line up down Panther Boulevard and School House Road as needed. Cars to be parked should use the side parking lot at the elementary school.
The parade will include horse entries, which will ride directly in front of Santa Claus. They will also have bands, Girl Scouts, churches, floats, wagons, drill teams, four-wheelers.
“You name it, we have got it,” said Martha Meador, chairman of the Christmas parade committee.
She said the parade should last about 30 minutes. Santa will ride in the parade and be available before and after at the gazebo for pictures starting at 5 p.m.
Rodger Johnson will be the announcer for the parade. Mark Scirto, Steve Dement and Bob Brackeen will judge the parade entries.
The entries will travel down Panther Boulevard and turn right onto School House Road. They will turn right onto Farm-to-Market Road 344, proceed through downtown and turn right onto Phillips Street, turning in front of Bullard City Hall. The parade will turn right on Tyler until it gets back to School House Road and head back to the elementary school.
