JACKSONVILLE —
Breezy Lake, director of the Hospitality Administration Program at Lon Morris College, was named to the board of directors of the Texas Forest Trail Region for the 2011 fiscal year at the annual meeting.
Attendees at the final board meeting of the year included tourism, economic development, education, and historic preservation professionals from across the heritage region representing the communities of Beaumont, Center, Crockett, Hughes Springs, Huntsville, Jacksonville, Kilgore, Mount Pleasant, Mount Vernon, Nacogdoches, Palestine, Port Arthur, San Augustine, Shenandoah, and Tyler.
The Texas Forest Trail Region is a regional tourism initiative developed by the THC that fosters regional economic development by promoting heritage tourism through the preservation of cultural and historic resources and regional partnerships.
