RUSK —
The Singletary Memorial Library in Rusk will offer a book fair from Sept.13-17 which will bring children and adults throughout the community to a central place where reading and learning are key.
Kids and adults alike will be able to browse through books to find something that is uniquely them, something they will enjoy and support the library at the same time.
“All books are Scholastics books we received — over 10 cases full,” said Amy Derrington with the Singletary Memorial Library. “With every $10 purchase, individuals will be registered for a gift pack.”
She said more than $800 worth of books were sold last year and the proceeds go to replenish the children’s sections with new and updated material.
The week will be full of local library activities.
