Brook Hill student expelled for bringing gun on campus

BULLARD — A student at The Brook Hill school was expelled after a gun was found in his vehicle on school grounds.

According to reports, on Nov. 8 after school hours, a student drove his pickup truck on to campus and the vehicle contained a deer rifle.

“The hunting rifle was never taken from the vehicle nor was there any evidence collected that indicated the rifle was brought for a purpose to harm anyone at the school nor was there any evidence of ammunition presen,” the school reported.

The situation was reported to local authorities and handled without anyone being placed in danger.

The single student invovled in the incident was expelled, according to school officials.

The Texas Penal Code prohibits the possession of a firearm and other weapons on the physical premises of a public or private school campus.
