A Bullard man was arrested Saturday by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department after multiple images of child pornography were found on his computer. Douglas W. Wardrup, 22, was taken into custody Saturday, Oct. 13, and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography.

“We received a report that images of child pornography were found on the computer, and the computer was voluntarily turned over to the sheriff’s department. We then sought a search warrant in order to search the drives for images,” said CCSD Deputy Gina Battley. “The search warrant was issued by District Judge Dwight Phifer, and once the images were found, arrest warrants for Wardrup were issued by Justice of the Peace Teresa Phifer.”
