Cherokee County Sheriff James Campbell will attend Monday’s commissioner’s court meeting, which has the potential to be a brief session, in order to delivery his department’s monthly report.
The Sheriff’s Department is also seeking approval from the court so that it can apply for the Justice Assistance Grant in order to receive new dispatch equipment.
The commissioners will also enter into executive session during Monday’s meeting to discuss personnel matters. If any action items result from there executive session deliberations, the court will re-enter regular session before taking any action.
Other agenda items include:
• considering laying utility lines in each precinct;
• considering bids for seal coat work in Precinct 4;
• the monthly report from Ricky Moore, license and weight officer;
• the monthly report from L.H. Crockett, county auditor;
• approval of the plat for the resubdivision of Eagles Bluff;
• the minutes from previous meetings; and
• paying the bills.
The Cherokee County Commissioner’s Court regularly meets at 10 a.m. the second and fourth Monday of each month, at the county courthouse. The public is invited to attend all meetings.
