Low-cost pet vaccines offered next week


Cherokee County veterinarians are holding low-cost pet vaccination clinics throughout the county through the next week. Vaccines will be from $8 to $40 and will provide vaccinations against rabies, distemper, Parvo and Kennel Cough for canines and rabies, distemper and Feline Leukemia for felines.

Rabies clinics will be held:

• 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at Nichols Green Park in Jacksonville with Dr. Alexander;

• 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 4, at the Reece Community Center with Dr. Alexander;

• 6 p.m. Monday, May 4, at the Reklaw Community Center with Dr. Holcomb;

• 7 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Pierce’s Chapel Old Store with Dr. Alexander;

• 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at New Summerfield ISD with Dr. Alexander;

• 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at New Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Stephens;

• 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Gallatin Community Center with Dr. Holcomb;

• 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the Cherokee Animal Clinic in Rusk with Dr. Holcomb;

• 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at the Mt. Selman Old Store with Dr. Stephens;

• 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Mixon First Baptist Church with Dr. Alexander;

• 6 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Maydelle First Baptist Church with Dr. Holcomb;

• 9 a.m. Saturday. May 9, at Kessel Veterinary Clinic in Alto, with Dr. Kessel;

• 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Craft Baptist Church with Dr. Stephens; and

• 5:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, at the Dialville Store with Dr. Alexander.
