Shunte Mone Coleman, remains listed as a missing person with the Jacksonville Police Department, according to JPD Detective Tonya Sonntag.
Coleman was last heard from July 2, according to her grandmother Margaret Anderson.
Anderson said she expected to hear from her 26-year-old granddaughter Aug. 4 because it was her birthday. However Anderson continues to wait to hear Coleman’s voice again.
“I don’t think she’s alive,” Anderson said. “I have not heard a thing, and I haven’t heard from the police department either.”
Coleman was listed as a missing person Aug. 7.
Jacksonville police officials told the Jacksonville Daily Progress in October they only had word-of-mouth information to go by because Coleman lived a transient lifestyle.
Coleman has two children, ages four and three. According to Anderson, no family members heard from Coleman during the holidays.
Coleman is reported to have a drug problem, and she may have had contact with former Jacksonville Police Department officer Larry Pugh before his arrest for sexual assault while on duty, Anderson said in a previous article.
Coleman is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs approximately 140 pounds and is missing her two front teeth. She has a scar on her right arm. She is also known by the name Ta-Ta.
