JACKSONVILLE — Jacksonville local and restaurateur Beverly Minter of Beverly’s Country Cafe has begun a project intended to benefit the Crisis Center in Jacksonville.

A multi-colored afghan is the project that she has made, spending approximately 100 man hours on it, and she is selling raffle tickets for as a fundraiser.

All proceeds will go to the crisis center.

“Everybody needs help these days,” said Minter on why she took on the project. “I’m concerned with the well-being of local women and children, the Crisis Center is a good cause.”

So far Minter has raised approximately $150 to donate and she would like the local community to come and buy tickets for the raffle.

Tickets are $1 per ticket or six tickets for $5.  The drawing will take place April 3 at Beverly’s Country Cafe.
