Lon Morris College students will see Miss Texas 2009 Kristen Blair Wednesday, Director of Public Relations Afton Barber said.

Blair will speak to the students on youth and leadership.

Blair, who studied vocal performance with a minor in music theory at the University of North Texas, will speak and sing at the Lon Morris College Chapel on Wednesday before signing autographs and having lunch with the students in the cafeteria.

Barber said Blair will visit West Side Elementary School to speak to more than 400 young students and pass out bookmarks.

At 4 p.m. in the Wilson Administration Building on the LMC campus is the Hearts and Tiaras Tea for mothers and daughters. At 5:30 p.m. will be a leadership dinner for 25 LMC student leaders; Blair will speak regarding leadership.

“Miss Texas coming to speak at Chapel is an annual event,” Barber said. “West Side Elementary, the Hearts and Tiaras Tea and the leadership dinner are all new.”
