JACKSONVILLE —
Jacksonville Police are seeking help from residents in identifying two suspects involved in Sept. 12 criminal mischief at Taylor's Coin Laundry, 507 Larissa.
Both suspects are heavy-set, African-American females. One was dressed in a red short-sleeved shirt with long black shorts, while the other suspect was garbed in black shorts and a grey or silver tank-top.
The incident occurred just after midnight at the 24-hour laundromat where the women were believed to be washing clothes, said Det. Greg Compton.
The suspects wandered around inside the building, at one point stopping in front of a soft-drink machine. Afterward, the suspect wearing the tank top walked over to an area at the back of the facility, near the dryers, then squatted and urinated on the floor, he said.
The suspects then went back to the soft-drink machine and unsuccessfully tried to break in, Compton said.
According to a report filed by the investigating officer, the estimated damage to the soda machine was about $100.
