Bands will perform July Fourth at the lake

Dog and his band, “Sweet Pain,” have teamed up again with Robin Butt of “Boogie Butt Productions” to ensure live entertainment this year at Lake Jacksonville’s July 4th Extravaganza on Saturday at the lake’s concessions area.

The concert is made possible with the help of sponsors Jay Hooker and Bill McRae Ford. Entertainment is expected to open between 1 and 2 p.m. with “Sweet Pain.”

Local band “Truffula Tree” and Shreveport, La., band “Trepid” will also take the stage throughout the evening. Local band “Without a Doubt” will finish the show after the fireworks.

“Come out and support your local bands,” Dog said.

The Water Parade of boats and barges begins at 10 a.m., and the fireworks display begins about 9:15 p.m.
