JACKSONVILLE — Another Jacksonville’s restaurant plans on going wet; Lindo Mexico has requested a zone change from “G”-Commercial District to “G-Special Use” to allow for the service of alcohol within the restaurant.

This request will be considered at the city council’s upcoming meeting Tuesday at 6 p.m. It will take place in the Norman Activity Center and will be open to the public.

If approved, Lindo Mexico will become able to serve alcohol in the restaurant regardless of whether Jacksonville itself legalizes alcohol sales within the city.

Other items are on the agenda set for the meeting. A citizen’s participation period will be held prior to the series of action items.

• Approval of minutes of regular council meeting of Feb. 9.

• Request for variance to allow for rental of property on Lake Jacksonville located at 2403 and 2404 Moore Lane.

• Appointment of an election judge for the general city council election.

• Appointment to the Keep Jacksonville Beautiful committee.
