Special to the Progress
Cherokee County has lost and is proud of it!
In May 34 individuals signed up for a 16-week program to get healthy.
Of that 34, 20 individuals stuck it out, and those folks lost an astounding 319 pounds, with some losing as much as 15 percent of their body weight.
As an extra community service bonus, one non-perishable item was brought to the celebration luncheon to represent each pound each person had shed. Those items were donated to HOPE for use in the community food pantry.
