Jacksonville Middle School announced the winners of the JISD Spelling Bee. Trophies were awarded to the top four finalists and one alternate. The winners of the bee were; 1st place, Presley Brown; 2nd place, Jorge Arredondo; 3rd place, Janzen Terry; 4th place, Jordan Terry; 5th place, Jeremy McAnnally; and alternate, Christian Roper. The winners will compete in the upcoming Cherokee County Spelling Bee on February 22, at Rusk Middle School. The JISD Spelling Bee is held in conjunction with the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
