JACKSONVILLE —
That a store owner could use the whim of his religious beliefs to not sell alcohol, while at the same time refusing to heed the scientificly established medical evidence regarding the long-established dangers of tobacco consumption is absolutely, irrefutably absurd!
There is absolutely no proven benefit to the use of tobacco but I doubt there is a retailer in town with the guts to discontinue its sale.
He will say it is a personal choice but (and besides, he needs the revenue), when it comes to alcohol, he will say God says no.
It does not take a rocket scientist to know that tobacco is harmful to our health.
If this store owner wants to demonstrate intellectual honesty, he will remove all tobacco products form his shelves immediately.
Fat chance!
