JACKSONVILLE —
There's a new coffee house in town. This is not a paid advertisement, but a tip for folks here who may not know. Phoenix Square is a family friendly coffee shop downtownwith snacks - and its a great local music venue, often free, often open mike. Its become a neat addition to the downtown scene, especially in the evening.
So I wrote this sort of poem for facebook, about their free show last night, (better than if I tried to write a song for the Phoenix Square:)
Charles & Friends: "The Blues is Alright!" Ain't it the truth! I seen the light!
Wish I remembered my lens - there would be photo's here for all my friends
- I'll get video next time, its overdue... oh, Sylvia Mae's Gumbo was real good too!
So be there next time when the Phoenix bills the blues!
And the next day you can post on facebook: man, if you snooze, you lose!
Thanks!
