An unforgetful 4th

Jacksonville Daily Progress

JACKSONVILLE — July 4th is supposed to be a celebration for America.

Our forefathers went through so much pain and suffering to make America a better place to live and worship and raise our families in a safe environment.

So, on July 4th my family got together to relax and enjoy the time and remember what America should be for us.

As we were playing different games we were listening to our scanner we heard so many reports of fireworks going off in the city limits.

Then we heard of a problem at one of the parks and we all stopped playing the game and listened closely.

There was a gathering at the park and the police were called in.

When the police got there, they were being shot at with fireworks…..

It was unforgetful to say the least.

The police were amazing.

I think it is a shame that our town is going through this.

What has happened that people have stopped caring about others?

The very people who are willing to try to protect us are being fired at with fireworks.

Come on people, we need to wake up and get back to what was intended when America became free.

Better place to live and worship and raise our families in a safe environment.

How do you feel about this?
