JACKSONVILLE —

Mr. and Mrs. Garry Minton of Jacksonville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen Nicole Minton, to Bret Patton Swinney of Arp, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Swinney of Chapel Hill.

Kristen is a 2006 graduate of Jacksonville High School and a 2010 graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Inter-disciplinary Studies. She is currently teaching fourth grade at West Side Elementary in Jacksonville.

Bret is a 2001 graduate of Chapel Hill High School and a 2006 graduate of The University of Texas at Tyler, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems. He is currently a Desktop Support Technician at Region 7 ESC in Kilgore.

The couple will marry June 25, 2011, at Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, with the reception to follow.
