Last year’s Livestock Queen Valerie York, left, crowns 2009’s Queen Lacy Findley, with Troup FFA, Saturday afternoon, during the final day of the 60th annual Cherokee County Junior Livestock Show. Findley raised $12,603 for her group and the show. This year’s queen nominees together raised a record $30,505. First runner-up was Jorden Hicks with Alto FFA; second runner-up was Casey Hudnall with Rusk FFA; and third runner-up was Amelia Kirpatrick with Lookout 4-H. Miss Congeniality was Samantha McCracken with Classic 4-H and Best West Attire was Lindsay Brown with Bullard FFA. Chapter of the Year 2009 was awarded to Troup FFA for the second consecutive year.
