Life-saving enrichment

Those in attendance at Tuesday night’s Jacksonville City Council meeting gave Bobby Redd a standing ovation as he received the Community Enrichment Award. Redd, left saved the life of 14-year-old Aziel Gonzalez, pictured right, last month when the boy fell into Lake Palestine while fishing near the dam. Gonzalez and his mother were on-hand Tuesday night as Redd received his award. The Community Enrichment Award is the highest honor the City Council can confer upon a member of the community.
